I believe in the power of collaboration, diversity of thought and opinion, and the dangers of historical-momentum (it’s the way it is now…because we decided something a long time ago and the inertia to change is too great).
Data and data-driven decisions will be vital as we tackle the coming decade’s challenges. In my work and my teaching I focus on the need for a fundamental appreciation and skillset of data management and how we can leverage computational modeling to accelerate our modeling challenges.
